The Colombian passport is a travel document which is issued to citizens of Colombia for the purpose of international travel. Since August 2010 a machine readable passport has been introduced. The previous version can be used until November 2015 (if it is still valid).
Citizens of Colombia do not need a passport when traveling to Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador*, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. For these countries, they may use just their domestic identification cards called "CEDULA DE CIUDADANIA"
